PAVAROTTI LUCIANO/HENRY MANCINI: MAMMA CD

The album "Mamma", first released in 1984, is a collection of Italian folk songs arranged and conducted by the American composer Henry Mancini, who himself had Italian roots. In his notes to the record, Pavarotti explained: "I grew up with these songs, as did many others of my generation, and they evoke the sound of my childhood".

The album is being re-released on vinyl for the first time since 1984, in a new, remastered HD sound. The premaster tapes from the Decca archives were used as the basis, giving the historic recordings a new, fascinating dimension.
