"Far Beyond Driven" - a monster of a metal album and Pantera's legendary seventh studio album, which catapulted to number 1 on the Billboard Top 200 in 1994 in 1994. A milestone for the band and for metal, it became the band's fastest-selling album of the band and - after "Vulgar Display Of Power" - their second platinum album in a row! The press and critics around the world celebrated the brutal beauty of this crazy sound attack.

This year marks the 20th anniversary of the masterpiece's release. Rhino are celebrating the event with an exclusive 2-CD version, which includes the completely remastered album and the previously unreleased recording of the Live performance from the Monsters Of Rock festival in 1994.

After the breakthrough that Pantera achieved with "Vulgar Display Of Power" in 1992 (double platinum), singer Philip Anselmo, guitarist Dimebag Darrell (†2004), bassist Rex Brown and drummer Vinnie Paul returned in March 1994 with Far Beyond Driven, which remained in the charts for seven more months after entering the Billboard charts at No. 1 and is still considered the heaviest album ever to top the charts.

The 12 tracks on the album consistently continued the hard line of its predecessor, with heavy metal attacks such as the first single "I'm Broken" as well as mosh pit classics like "5 Minutes Alone" and "Slaughtered". One of the highlights was also the original and very successful acoustic cover of Black Sabbath's "Caravan", which became a live fan favorite during the course of the album tour.

Fans who are already familiar with "Far Beyond Driven" should find the second CD of the Anniversary Edition a welcome addition. Titled "Far Beyond Bootleg - Live From Donnington '94", the CD contains the complete recording of the live concert at the Monsters Of Rock festival in Donnington, U.K. on June 4, 1994. The 40-minute show featured the essence of three previous Pantera albums including "Use My Third Arm" and "Strength Beyond Strength", the uber-hit "Walk" as well as "Mouth For War" and "This Love" from Vulgar Display Of Power . The title track from the album Cowboys From Hell and the live combo "Domination" and "Hollow" can also be heard in the best Pantera live violence.
