The Trammps – Their Ultimate Collection (LP)
After the Trammps had scored a few modest hits as a soul band on the Buddah label in the early seventies with “Rubber Band” and “Zing Went The Strings Of My Heart”, they ended up on a sub-label of Philadelphia International Records in the mid-seventies. With “Shout” and “Love Epidemic” they scored their first real disco hits there. But they became most famous after their hit “Disco Inferno” from 1976 was used again in 1977 on the soundtrack of “Saturday Night Fever”, the disco film that broke all records with John Travolta.
