So, over two nights and four sets, Willie and Family were recorded in front of the best audiences to play off of, at "The Texas Opry House" in Willie's backyard, Austin, Texas. I had only been playing in the band for a year, but we had done close to 300 shows honing the sound. The show is raw energy and spirit of a racehorse heading for the barn are captured here, giving birth to a movement and a moment in time that still smolders. - Mickey Raphael, Nashville, TN, 2021
