For this new album from Gogol Bordello, songwriter Eugene Hutz set out to combine post-punk textures and aggression with the free-flowing gypsy-punk of Gogol Bordello. To achieve this goal, he decided to work with the production team of Nick Launay (Gang of Four, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Idles) and Adam "Atom" Greenspan (Nick Cave, Idles, Flogging Molly).

Together with his long-standing band, they created twelve extremely powerful and catchy songs. The title track "We Mean It, Man!" is full of punky intensity, culminating in a no-wave saxophone skronk. "No Time For Idiots" is a Strummer/Jones-esque riff-punk with a gigantic chorus. "Life Is Possible Again" expresses optimism in the face of the fear of war in Ukraine. "Solidarity" is a Cockney Rejects Solidarnosc punk anthem reinterpreted by Bernard Sumner of New Order to address the war effort in Ukraine.

This is the album and the political message the world needs now.
